Svatý Petr
The most popular area of Špindlerův Mlýn annually hosts national and world-class sports events.
Svatý Petr, a popular part of the Špindlerův Mlýn Ski Resort, offers skiing fun for both demanding and undemanding skiers. On the Audi Race Track, you can also measure your time against the Czech downhill star Ondřej Bank.
The Svatý Petr ski resort offers well-groomed slopes of varying difficulty and hosts a large number of sporting events, including international ones. A number of cable cars and lifts take skiers to the top of the slopes, and you can even take a ride from Svatý Petr to Pláň in a comfortable heated six-seater chairlift, which is a kind of "rolls-royce" among chairlifts in the Czech Republic.
While the blue slope, which is extra wide and long, is ideal for beginners, the red slope will be appreciated by experienced and more demanding skiers. The black FIS World Cup slope, which has international parameters and hosts the most important and largest ski races, is prepared for the most demanding skiers. And do you want to race and have fun? In the upper part of the red slope called "Playground" you can enjoy the popular Audi Race Track, where you can compare your time with the successful Czech alpine skiing representative Ondrej Bank. The track is 300m long and has an elevation gain of about 90m.
At the upper and lower stations of the cable car you can refresh yourself, relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains. From Plání you can see for example Zlaté vrchší, Kotel or Medvědín. Whether you enjoy traditional Czech specialties or international cuisine, you will enjoy your meal in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
And if you like cross-country skiing, you can go in several directions from Plání on groomed cross-country skiing trails. Popular trails include those to Strážné, Krásná pláň or towards Klínovy boudy.
